We've been talking a lot about CBDCs. There's a feeling that it's incoming. It's imminent. Is that what you think?

I think it is inevitable. In fact, it's already underway in a lot of important respects. The only thing that needs to be done, I think, at this point, is to effectively sell them to the public.

Assuming we are talking about retail CBDCs, because as your audience may or may not know,

there are at least two monetary circuits that are operating on the national level, one of which is the retail monetary circuit,

which is the bank money that you and yourself and myself and other people use in their daily transactions and that they keep at the bank.
