0:12.3

Well, thank you for having me back. It's a pleasure to be here.

0:15.3

James, what's the latest with the Corbett Report?

0:19.2

Well, as we record this, I am about to drop a podcast that is going to use the GameStop saga

0:25.5

that played out earlier this year as a way of exploring the bigger history of the markets

0:30.6

and the manipulations on the markets and how, in the end, generally speaking, the vultures at the top of the financial pyramid

0:39.4

tend to win out, and the little guy at the bottom tends to get fleeced.

0:43.2

And that seems to be the same pattern that plays out time and time again throughout history.

1:36.1

And I'm not sure if that was the context in which that extinction event was intended.

1:40.2

But I think, in a sense, it is true.

1:42.7

It's just not true in the way that we are generally asked to think

1:45.7

about it. And I think about it in very different terms. I think that ultimately, yes, the human species

1:51.1

is in the event of, at the very least, a transformative event that some people would, I'm sure,

1:57.2

frame as an evolution, but at any rate really does portend the end of the human species

2:02.8

as we've known it. And I know that does sound rather outlandish to people who have never
