So for nearly 30 years, we have been discussing the past, present, and future of revolutions here on This Is Hell.

From indigenous uprisings that began as soon as the first European colonists landed on these shores.

Uprising that have never ended, here or wherever,

and whoever colonialism has attempted to destroy, to the slave rebellions that rose up throughout

the entire 400 years of chattel servitude. Our guests have made certain we understood none of that

was ever normalized or accepted by its victims.

Our guests have also covered the present state of revolution over the past 30 years, from

the battle for Seattle at the WTO ministerial meetings to the world social forums, to the

protests against the World Bank and IMF, and so-called free trade deals around the world, to the protests against the World Bank and IMF and so-called free trade deals around the world,

to the protests against the first Iraq war, to the indignados and Occupy, to Dueney DeBoo and

the yellow vests, to Black Lives Matter and the uprisings against police in the wake of

the killing of George Floyd. We have been fortunate to have people on our show who have been

engaged in and witnessed it all. Following the second election of Donald Trump as president,

many of you contacted us and asked that we have even more activists and organizers on the show

than we usually do. And we have. Many of them have discussed abolition

and the need to free ourselves from the carceral state, the police state.
