This is the first part of a series where I'll be teaching you internal link growth hacks

for improving your Google rankings and increasing your traffic.

Most bloggers do not spend enough time building internal links from one of their

posts to another. If they do any type of link building, then it is getting external links from other

sites. SEO pros know that internal links are just as valuable as external links. A study by Databogs found 42% of SEO pros spend equal time building internal and external links.

In addition, 24% of them spend more time on building internal links than external links.

The growth hack that I'll be covering today is specifically designed to boost blog posts

that rank between number two and number eight for different keywords.

The reason why it's number two through number eight is that these positions will have the

biggest traffic gains by moving up in the rankings.

Here are some recent statistics on Google organic traffic increases by just moving up one spot

from Backlinko. Moving up from a number eight to a number seven Google ranking will get

you a 33% increase in traffic. From number 7 to number 6 is 49% and from

number 6 to number 5 is 53%. So you can see why it's important to focus on the posts that rank

between 2 and number eight because increases
