This is the eighth and final part of a series that has gone through every one of my

ad income growth hacks.

Let's go ahead and get started with the final set of growth hacks.

The first one is to shorten your sidebar.

While the sidebar ad does not show up in mobile, it's still a big moneymaker

for blogs. Advertisers love to spend a premium on this spot because they can place a big ad

and they know it's going to show up only on computers. If you have a whole bunch of unnecessary

content in your sidebar, then it is going to hurt your sidebar ad income.

Most of the big ad management companies use a sticky sidebar ad.

This means that once someone scrolls down far enough, the ad unit is going to stick in the sidebar.

The longer that sidebar ad shows,

the more ads get refreshed. Every time it refreshes, you earn more money. In my sidebar, I just put links to my five most recent post and my top five category pages. This allows my sidebar ad to show up right away

when a new visitor lands on one of my blog posts. The next growth hack is to sit up an email sequence

of your greatest hits. This sequence is to be sent out to all of your new email subscribers.

I recommend running a 52-week sequence that sends out an email either once or twice a week.

Each email is going to be real simple.

You can use the title of your post as the subject line.

The body of the email will have a single call-to-action sentence that is followed by a link to your blog post.
