I'm Tim O'Malley with Tim Priest of Irish Illustrated, John Bryce of the football scoop, and we just finished 30 minutes with the more upbeat, Marcus Freeman today.

Irish wear green is the theme, but the Irish might not wear green. Why don't we start there? It's not that important, but apparently the captains are going to decide today at 2 o'clock

if they are going to wear green not to pass the buck at all to those guys, but I guess it's up to them,

J.B. Boy, I would be fairly stunned the way this game has been marketed if Notre Dame did not

wear its alternate all green threads. But Marcus Freeman leaving it up to the four captains today.

So I suppose we'll either find out on Notre Dame's social channels this evening

or we'll all be asking wardrobe questions tomorrow in our one session of the week with players.

I would imagine, Tim, that the players would love to wear green.

They haven't exactly been stellar here in Nordheim Stadium so far.

So I would imagine they would welcome a change of pace.

I'd like to see names on the jersey as well, which leads us into some important names.

Cooper Flanagan out for this week with an ankle injury.

Joshua Burnham questionable with that ankle injury.

And Jade Mickey has decided to enter the transfer portal.

This is game number five.

It's something we talked about in the preseason.

I actually thought it might have been just after the season ended.

But Jade Mickey will enter the transfer portal.

It makes sense.

This has happened to Notre Dame every season since, I believe, 2018,

where a not starter but prominent player who wants more time decides to go to the portal.
