Hey everybody welcome to how-to Tuesday brought to you by Dan Coe. We are back at the tying bench going

through knots that we find on Instagram and sometimes you can find some really

good ones and other times you find some that are really not very good at all.

The common thread is that most of the knots on Instagram show you how to tie the knot very well,

and then they say this is a very strong knot or this is a 99% knot but there's only one way to tell and that is to actually

put it on the testing machine and try it out for ourselves.

So one

fishing minutes, fishing minutes. And on this one, fishing minutes,

this is a knot that is used to tie directly to the hook.

So I've done exactly that. I've tied this exactly the way that they have it on this video and today I used 15 pound

D'Iowa J. Floro and we tied this knot and tested it.

And I got to say, of all the knots that I've seen,

I thought this one was not going to be very good,

but after tying it exactly like we did on the video and testing it, it tested at over 15 pounds, but what's very interesting is that when I look at it, it didn't break in the

knot at all. It broke in the line. So this is an over 100% knot. The knot is
