Summary

This week's podcast is such a special one because it focuses on our family. Jason sits down with his brother, Todd, to talk about growing up together, the chaos of addiction within family, anxiety, self-compassion, and healing as an ongoing process.

I love both of these men so much, and I'm so proud of them for sharing so openly.

This isn't a yoga-specific episode — it's a conversation between two brothers about family trauma and the instability that addiction creates for everyone, not just the person with the addiction.

I hope you will listen, and if you or someone you know is struggling with addiction or is in recovery, I hope you will share it.

1:09.0

to release it on my platform is because addiction and

recovery affects so many, and it affects so, not just, not just so many, it affects a lot of

1:22.2

yoga teachers and a lot of yoga practitioners. Recovery for many is a, is a route through which they connect to themselves and yoga for many.

with addiction, you know it's also traumatic. This is not something that is easy for me to talk about.

The conversation that we're about to have, I love having it with him.

2:05.6

I think it's so important to have it with him.

2:09.2

But if we weren't talking about our background, I don't really want to talk about it, if that makes sense, right?

2:17.4

The kind of the only person in this world that I'm happy to have the conversation with

2:23.9

is the person I actually went through it with.
