Summary

In today's episode, Sarah shares an update for the listener seeking high-contrast planner options, with products mentioned including the Marjolein Delhaas Planner from Wms&Co, Rad & Happy, and Passion Planner. Then, she shares a listener's story of ordering the Personal Planner from Sweden -- and being extremely surprised by fees (over 4x the value of the planner!). Following, Sarah gets into the concept of an Analog Fall (or an Analog 2026?) inspired by Julianna Salguero's Keepsake substack post: https://juliannasalguero.substack.com/p/how-to-have-an-analog-fall She adds to Julianna's ideas with several fun analog activities of her own, and also ponders: if we were adding tech back to our lives from scratch, what would we actually choose to partake in? Hello and welcome to best laid plans.

This is your host, Sarah Hart Unger, and this is a podcast where we talk all things planning and planning adjacent.

I am here today with an episode about analog life, a fall reset, which was not my idea,

0:25.1

but which I just wanted to extrapolate and expound upon because I thought it just sounded so

0:29.6

nice. But before we get into all that, I wanted to do an update for the listener who asked

0:36.7

for high contrast planners for those

0:39.4

that struggle with vision issues because I got a few recommendations from various listeners

0:44.7

that I wanted to share for both this listener and anybody else who finds themselves squinting

0:50.3

at really tiny numbers or really grayed out fonts.

0:54.0

So interestingly, the first planner that was recommended to me by a listener named Douglas

0:58.7

is so interesting looking that I am debating to order it just to take a look at it myself.

1:06.0

But it is called the Marjolene Delhoss planner.

1:09.5

And that's spelled M-A-R-J-O-L-E-I-N, D-E-L-H-A-A-S planner. She sells it from her own website

1:19.0

in the EU. I say she, Marjolene sounds like a female name, so in the EU. But then also, there is a vendor called Williams & Co, which is abbreviated WMS and

1:31.1

co, and I'll link to this in the show notes, that sells them in the U.S. And the reason that he

1:35.7

recommended this was that it has extremely large numbers for the days of the month. It looks very,

1:41.9

I don't know, avant-garde, very design districty to me, kind of, I don't know,

1:47.3

just artsy and pretty.

1:49.0

But it also does have some small print as well.

1:52.1

So if you're someone who only wants large fonts and contrast in your planner, this may not

1:57.6

work for you.

1:58.4

But if you're okay with some of the features, maybe being a little
