Our guest today is Dr. Doug Selvich. He's a project director in the office of the

Federal Commissioner for the Stasi Records in Berlin. He's also published

widely on the Commission on Security and Cooperation in Europe

process, Polish-German relations under communism, and the history of the Soviet bloc.

Previously, he directed a grant project funded by the National Endowment for the Humanities to

translate Warsaw Pact documents into English for the Parallel History Project on Collective Security.

From 2001 and 2006, he also worked at the Historian's Office of the United States

Department of State where his publications included the foreign relations of the

United States on things like European security and he co-edited a joint

publication with the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Soviet

American Relations that had haunt years 1969 to 1972.
