From its humble beginnings as a poor farm to its eerie days as a psychiatric hospital, this Illinois landmark has seen it all—well, except a fresh coat of paint since the vandals had their way. 0:25.0	you're in there by yourself you own the building you've got a job to do you need to take care of things now me on the
0:30.4	other hand I think I'd be kind of scared to be in there by myself but are
0:34.4	there ever times where you do feel like gotta go there was once it was May 14. I would just after I bought the building probably about maybe towards the end of bay. I was on the third floor outside by the nurses station. I was hooked on with electrical wiring and there was nobody
0:54.7	in the building but me and this was like middle the afternoon, one o'clock, two o'clock in the afternoon.
1:00.0	And there was something that, you know, I always tell people, it's's like you know how when you go to that party and you get the feeling that you really not wanted there and that they people want you to leave and I'm like you know that said, that's what it felt like.
1:15.0	I was standing here in the third floor and probably after an hour because I kept pushing it away and pushing it away.
1:20.0	And finally about an hour after it was all going, like, okay, if you guys are having a party day and I'm not invited, I'll leave. I get it, not a problem. And I said, so, you know, I'm out of here. So I end up leaving and in fact I was headed down to pick up some supplies that the Menards in
1:37.0	Nifingham Illinois and I called my wife and she's like what are you doing?
1:41.0	I'm heading down to pick up some materials.
1:43.1	She's like in the afternoon,
1:44.4	because I always did that at night.
1:46.2	And I said, there's something the building does want me there today.
1:50.2	And I told other people that and they're like,
1:51.7	oh, that must have been some demon in the building.
1:53.6	Like, nup, I said, I look at the opposite light.
1:55.6	I said, it might be something that is trying to protect me.
1:58.0	Maybe there's something going to happen, or maybe they thought I was hooking some wiring up wrong or something.
2:02.1	And I said, so they're trying to protect me,
2:04.4	you know from being in the building and they don't want me to do whatever I'm doing.
2:07.3	Oh.
2:08.3	They want me to do what I'm doing.
