Hello, this is Moderer Rebels. I'm Ben Norton. This is part two of a discussion that my colleague,

Max Blumenthal and I had with two friends of the show who just went on a trip to Syria,

to see what life is really like on the ground after a decade of a Western dirty war and under crippling sanctions imposed by the United States and the European Union.

We are speaking with Aaron Mata and also with Professor Muhammad Morandi.

Professor Morandi is joining us from Iran and he shares some of his wisdom as an expert on the politics of

the so-called Middle East or rather West Asia. And in the second half, they continue the

discussion of what their trip was like in Syria, what they learned, the impact of the dirty war,

the regime change operations, and also Aaron focuses

specifically on the scandal at the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, the cover-up

that should be a massive international crisis, massive international scandal, but it's been

swept under the rug by Western government. So after talking about the

OPCW, Aaron and Mohamed Mirandi talk more about Syria. Also, Max talks about the situation in the

Israeli apartheid regime, not only in terms of its role in the dirty war in Syria, bombing Syria

hundreds of times, supporting so-called rebels,

the Salafi jihadist groups, including al-Qaeda, but also the Israeli massacre in Gaza and the

internal political crisis that it looks like Benjamin Netanyahu might no longer be prime minister

pretty soon in Israel. So Max addresses some of that. And furthermore,

Max actually addresses the situation in Nicaragua, which is very complex, and the U.S. is meddling

so much here to try to steal the election from the Sandinistas. We'll cover that in more future episodes.
