Welcome back to the evolution of horror. My name is Mike and as ever I am your host. If you're

tuning in for the first time then welcome. Usually on this podcast we explore

and dissect the evolution and history of the horror genre by looking at particular sub-jomras

across several weeks and in January we will begin our journey through the evolution

of the zombie movie. We are currently kind of in a break in between seasons, but I couldn't resist a little bit of bonus content.

Now, on Halloween night, I'm sure most UK listeners out there are aware, we were treated to a very exciting live television event.

I am of course talking about the Halloween special of Inside Number 9.

For anyone out there who doesn't know, Inside Number 9 is a TV show that's

written and created by and starring Reiche Smith and Steve Pemberton. It's an

anthology show. Each episode is its own kind of self-contained half hour story, almost like a little play.

But the program is, as well as being very funny, it's also very, very dark.

It really dabbles in the horror genre in certain episodes and then in other

episodes it goes into full-blown horror territory and that was definitely the case

with the live Halloween special and after the Special aired, I know that pretty much everyone out there who watched it was

talking about it.
