And joining me today is Editor Extraordinary Daniel Starkand. We're going to be talking about

0:10.3

the Cameron Carr introductory press conference. What happened there? What didn't happen

0:15.4

there? A little interesting. Plus, we'll also get into the latest on LeBron James, his future

0:20.7

with the Lakers. If you all are joining us live, we'll be get into the latest on LeBron James, his future with the

in just a bit. Daniel, fresh out of traffic. How are you doing? Yeah, yeah, definitely not ideal

0:34.8

on a Friday afternoon here.

0:40.5

But yeah, always nice to be back at the practice facility.

0:42.7

You know, I was there for the draft the other night,

0:44.9

but before that we hadn't been there for a while. So it feels good to get back in the swing of things, obviously, busy, busy week coming up.

0:50.8

For some people more than others, maybe that's why um mr rob polinka did not speak to the

0:56.4

media today as was originally planned i don't i don't really know why but but yeah it was nice to

1:01.6

you know meet cameron car seems like a really great kid and and ask him some questions

1:06.2

yeah so that was actually a bit strange in that rob Plake was scheduled to speak after the draft.

1:12.7

Now, he couldn't because the trade to get Cameron Carr hadn't gone down yet.

1:17.8

The Lakers didn't just keep their pick of 25.

1:19.7

They moved up one spot to 24.

1:21.5

It became part of a four-team trade.

1:23.5

So because it wasn't officially all done, you know, T's crossed, eyes, dotted,

2:34.4

all that sort of thing. Rob couldn't talk about it. So he didn't wind up speaking to the media after the draft, which had to be a disappointment. But then to not speak today as well, were you surprised by that, by the fact that we didn't hear, we'll talk about Cameron Carr-Penny, but the fact that we didn't hear from Rob Polinka at all today. Yeah, I was surprised and the only reason for that is because he was scheduled to speak. Like if they just sent out the invite to the press conference and all it said was Cameron Carr press conference with, you know, nothing about Rob Polinka, then obviously, you know, I think we would all understand like, you know, free agency is just around the corner. There's not a whole lot for him to say right now or a whole lot that he can say, I should say. But the fact that they did kind of market it as a Palinka and Cameron Car Press conference, and then Rob wasn't there. I did think that was a little strange. but kind of like I was just saying, like at the end of the day, he probably wouldn't give us a whole lot, you know, right now anyways. Like, it's not like he's going to come out and telegraph all of his plans for the week. You know, there would have been some questions probably about, you know, what's going on with LeBron, mainly about the Lakers' own guys. Like, you can't talk about other free agents, players on other teams and whatnot.

2:40.3

You can't talk about, like Austin Reeves. He can talk about because that deal isn't
