It was Sunday in the middle of the afternoon where I started seeing, you know, videos

come in on Twitter of the protest.

At first I was kind of surreal, like, no, there's no way this is Cuba or these videos must be

old or they must be, you know, like people are sharing the same video.

But it was just video after video of people taking to the streets.

My colleagues Sabrina Rodriguez grew up in Hylia, Florida.

Hylia is like 97% Hispanic.

It's almost all Cuban.

And this is our reporter, Mark Caputo.

I have been covering Florida politics for more than 20 years now.

I grew up in Key West, Florida, which is the closest place to Cuba in the continental

United States, 90 miles away.

Though I'm not Cuban, Cuba policy kind of affected me, but you're Cuban.
