Today we are talking about mulch. How do you choose the best mulch for your garden? So mulch is kind of a difficult

topic because there are a lot of different types on the market, and they do slightly different things.

Picking a mulch type is basically the first step when you're deciding what mulch to choose,

obviously, and there are two different major types there's

organic mulch mulch made out of organic matter and in organic mulch so that's the

first decision that you need to make.

Are you going to choose inorganic mulch or are you going to choose an inorganic one?

And here's how you will decide.

Mulch that's organic will provide a nice natural look to the garden if that's something that matters to you

an aesthetic appearance that looks very natural.

They're pretty cheap in general.

They're readily available.

You can often just get them for free.

In fact, I have a post on my website

about cheap mulch ideas. I think there's 24 or so recommendations there that are

cheaper or completely free. And they also will break down over time. So they will break down into your

soil and actually improve the structure of your soil

by adding nutrients

improving drainage

Controlling soil erosion etc so So that would be the benefit of using organic mulch.
