Summary

You're a weirdo. I'm a weirdo too. Our weirdness is our power.

In this episode, I talk about how it feels to be an interplanetary soul and to experience the loneliness that often comes along with it.

I created this podcast for you if:

  • you often feel like you don't quite belong on Earth
  • you often feel "homesick" or like planet Earth is not your home base
  • you're confused or baffled by how humans do things (especially politics, money, relationships, living in linear time)
  • you grew up feeling like a weirdo or outcast, even within your own family, peer group, or hometown
  • you're a highly sensitive, empathic Soul

Thank you for being here and spending this time with me. I appreciate you beyond measure. You're not alone. And the world needs your uniqueness!

Welcome to Inner Work, whether this is your first time

0:57.2

tuning in or whether you've been with me for a while. I am truly honored that you are making

1:03.7

time out of your day to spend this time with me. So this episode is basically an expansion on a blog post that I wrote recently, that I was very,

1:18.4

very moved to write after getting many emails from listeners talking about the loneliness that we sometimes feel on the path of

1:32.3

awakening or feeling not quite at home on Earth, on this planet, sometimes even with our families

1:43.0

of origin, or with the people that we grew up with or at school

1:48.3

or at church or at work, all of these places where we might sometimes have this feeling of

1:55.0

being an outsider or not quite fitting in. And I know that can be painful and it can be challenging and you might feel lonely because of that.

2:07.7

So I wanted to address that and expand some of these ideas that I shared in my blog.

2:15.4

So basically I think we start with some fundamental questions to check in with yourself.

2:22.2

And these questions are, have you lived most of your life with the sense that you don't quite

2:29.9

belong here on planet Earth? Maybe like with a suspicion, right, in some way, that you're not

2:38.4

from here, or there's no way that you could be from here, that maybe Earth is not your home

2:45.0

base. Maybe the way that humans do things has seemed baffling or confusing to you at times, maybe a lot of times.

2:57.7

So these are common feelings and experiences for those of us who are what I call interplanetary souls.

3:07.6

Some people in the spiritual community refer to this as star seeds,

3:13.6

or interstellar, intergalactic souls.
