| 1:03.3 | Now, I say most elusive in the sense that a lot of people first learning the tarot have a difficult time connecting with the court cards. |
| 1:12.8 | These are the pages, knights, queens, and kings of the deck, and we have a set of four |
| 1:18.6 | court cards for each suit. In general, we can look at court cards in a variety of ways. So this is |
| 1:26.0 | not just for the ones, court cards, but overall. So first, |
| 1:31.7 | on a kind of surface level, court cards can represent actual people in our lives. So a king might show |
| 1:40.3 | up to represent a father figure or a boss or a teacher or a particular friend that we have. |
| 1:48.0 | A page might show up to represent a child in your life since pages are associated with |
| 1:54.7 | youthfulness and they tend to represent children or just a young energy. |
| 2:00.2 | A queen might show up to represent a mother figure |
| 2:03.8 | or a boss or a friend just like a king. And knights are typically seen as representing an |
| 2:11.6 | adolescent energy. They are like the teenagers of the deck and so are still learning, they're still growing. |
| 2:19.9 | They can sometimes be a little bit impulsive in their thoughts or actions. |
| 2:26.7 | Second, if we take this a bit deeper, court guards can also portray aspects of yourself. |
| 2:37.9 | So perhaps a page might show up to remind you that it's important to be playful, to be in awe of the world, to return to a state of beginner's |
