Summary

This is part 3 in a four-part miniseries on the Tarot Swords. Join me for an exploration of the 8, 9, and 10 of Swords as we close out the suit before exploring the court cards.

In this episode, I talk about:

- the 8 of Swords as a card of stuckness and self-imposed limitations

- seeing beyond illusions to liberate and empower yourself

- the consequences of an undisciplined mind in the 9 of Swords

- how the suit of Swords warns us when we're hitting up against our limits

- the self-destruction of an unsustainable self in the 10 of Swords, which opens up the possibility to start over

This episode is part three in a four-part mini-series focusing on the tarot swords.

0:53.9

Today we're continuing our journey through the suit

of swords and reflecting on the important lessons, wisdom, and guidance that this suit has to offer

us. We left off part two with the seven of swords, which as we explored is a card of trickery

and sometimes even self-deception.

The Seven of Swords is also a card that challenges us to develop inventiveness,

1:18.4

to look at where our thinking is stagnant or keeping us stuck in a reality or situation

1:24.3

that is just no longer working for us, and to intentionally nurture a different

1:30.1

or new way of thinking. As we've been seeing all along, the suit of swords plays out in many

1:37.3

ways like a cautionary tale. So if we look at the full arc or the full sequence of this suit in chronological order, it plays out as

1:47.4

this kind of cautionary tale. And this really, really picks up with the last three cards in the

1:54.4

suit, which we will be looking at in this installment, in this episode. So as we move into the eight of swords, this is a cautionary tale

2:05.5

about what happens when we fail to develop intentionally that different or more inventive way of

2:13.4

thinking that was suggested by the seven of swords. So if we learn nothing from the seven of sorts,

2:21.1

if we stay in that status quo and we continue on a path of self-deception and lack of integrity

2:29.7

with ourselves, maybe lying to ourselves or lying to other people or both, we might soon find ourselves

2:37.8

experiencing the energy of the aid of swords. And this can be a challenging energy. Because the aid
