Summary

For Inner Work's first episode of 2021, I'm sharing a list of 7 powerful books that can awaken and transform you. These are unique, truthful, and healing books that I've returned to over and over again as I've walked my own spiritual path. I hope you'll find a title that resonates with you and that can help you kick 2021 off with renewed hope, clarity, and inspiration.

I run through each of these books and describe their main purpose, who they're meant for, what makes them unique, and why they're important for those of us on the spiritual path.

Here's the list of books included in this episode:

Ram Dass - Grist for the Mill
Clarissa Pinkola Estes - Women Who Run With the Wolves
Penney Peirce - The Intuitive Way
Lama Tsultrim Allione - Feeding Your Demons
Jean Shinoda Bolen - Goddesses in Everywoman
Benebell Wen - Holistic Tarot
Seth Godin - Linchpin: Are You Indispensable?

Please note: this is NOT an affiliate episode, so I don't receive financial compensation if you purchase any of these books. I'm recommending them because I can personally vouch for their transformative powers.

Thank you for being here, and please leave a rating or review on Apple Podcasts if this episode resonated with you. Better yet, tell a friend about the podcast!

Certainly, I hope that this new year will be a better year for all of us collectively than

1:13.7

2020, and I hope that we will both contribute to making it so in our own ways. I figured it would

1:21.3

be a good idea to start the year with some solid book recommendations for you as you navigate

1:27.0

your spiritual path of healing and awakening.

1:31.1

All of these are books that have transformed my life for the better. They have given me a deeper

1:36.8

sense of meaning and purpose and they have helped me overcome dysfunctional patterns and self-sabotage and inner conflict.

1:47.1

So I hope that these books will help you too, whether you read one or all of these.

I'm going to run through each book, give a brief description of the book's purpose, who it's

1:58.2

for, and I will also read some excerpts from the books so you can get

Awakening to Oneness. And this was written by Ram Dass, originally in 1976. So this is probably

the book with the broadest ideas and appeal that really speaks to many different people on the spiritual path,

2:39.9

whether you've just had a spiritual awakening and you're starting to learn about all of these spiritual things,

2:47.3

or whether you've been on the path for a while.
