I just think that they're the sorts of places where God wants as people, aren't they?

I felt so close to God in those places because I was actually genuinely so terrified.

I never learned to pray like that. I learned how to pray in the spirit in those times.

I learned how to cry out to God with every ounce of energy.

Oftentimes you felt you had nothing left apart from crying up to God for mercy.

Good to be with you, brother.

So you're a whole bunch of things, aren't you? You're a coffee rosa, you're an abolitionist, you're a church planter, and we're just going

to get straight in with your story. So, Di, obviously, well, you've only said her little brother, but I think people can already tell you from Wales. Go on, give us some background. So yeah, born and raising a Welsh town called Ponte Pool in the Eastern Valley in South Wales, to two amazing Christian parents who did their best to raise me

well, but didn't really go the path I should have gone for the first 15 years in my life.

But I was always, always grateful for the home I grew up in, had a very loving home and had a mother who was an

incredible prayer warrior, whose faith inspired me even before I was a father of Jesus myself

and whose grace was still ingrained in my life, just the most incredible Christian I've ever known.

And a dad who, very strict dad, also a very loving dad, very present, and a real

adventurer. He gave me a real love for taking risks and real love for, you know, not allowing

your fears to inhibit you. So put those two things together. I think they're still perhaps the two

most formative influences in my life. But yeah, I grew up in South Wales

and at the age of 15 had a radical encounter with Jesus Christ that kind of completely

changed the trajectory of my life, but never left South Wales. And so, yeah, that's a little

bit about me, born and born again in wales right and i picture you

as a sort of skater even though you're about what are you 45 now 44 almost 45 yeah um and
