“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with Whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.”
All that we have and all that we are flows from God, and yet, as covered in previous episodes, God acts in time via means. Your height and your intelligence, God transmitted to you via your ancestors, via your nation; your material prosperity, God transmitted to you via your forebears and your country; and your faith, God transmitted to you via faithful forebears and His written Word (whatever copies of which you may own, someone had to print). It is a tripartite inheritance that is bestowed upon us by God — biological, material, and spiritual.
The modern world, with its manifold lies — among them, the idea of the ‘blank slate’ — would have us believe that we are atomized individuals instead of parts of a greater whole. Each generation is a link in a chain extending back through Noah to Adam, and it is incumbent on each generation to faithfully pass forward the inheritance — preferably improved — that it received from those who came before. Without inheritance, there is no prosperity, there is no continuity, and there would be no salvation, for it is our adoption as sons of God that makes us inheritors of eternal life.
We must jealously guard our inheritance, faithfully preserve it, and dutifully transmit it.

| 0:00.0 | I'm I'm Welcome to the Stone Choir podcast. I am Corey J. Mahler. And I'm still, whoa. On today's |
| 0:45.2 | Stone Choir, we're going to be discussing the subject of inheritance. As we began this many two-part |
| 0:51.7 | series last week discussing jealousy and zealousness. We are continuing now |
| 0:57.0 | with notions of how God and how man deals with subject of inheritance. What does it mean |
| 1:05.4 | to inherit something? What are the systems by which that operates? Why do we do it? Why does |
| 1:10.8 | God do it? When and where |
| 1:12.5 | does that occur? Before we get into it properly, just a brief update on the challenge coins. |
| 1:19.4 | Corey has pictures of the samples. The physical samples are en route to his house. Should be getting |
| 1:24.6 | them hopefully by the end of this week. As soon as we get those, we'll post |
| 1:28.4 | some pictures online so everyone can see them, probably be making a couple tiny tweaks and then |
| 1:34.1 | placing that order. So thank you to everyone for your patience. Also I've noticed in the download |
| 1:38.6 | stats in the last 10 days, we have a ton of new listeners. I honestly have no idea from where. We didn't see any bump |
| 1:46.1 | in any of the places that we would expect to find incoming traffic from. So if you're a new |
| 1:51.7 | listener joined recently, thank you very much for joining. We're happy to have you. As we routinely |
| 1:56.4 | say, if you're enjoying these shows, we highly recommend that you go back to the beginning |
| 2:01.8 | and start with all of them. We don't really do timely episodes as much as possible. |
| 2:08.0 | We're trying to create a catalog here, so it's worth listening to an episode from a year or so |
| 2:13.3 | ago, because it's still going to be fresh because, you know, it's not current events as much as we |
| 2:17.7 | can help it. And even when we do tackle current events, it's because those are examples of |
| 2:22.3 | broader issues that are affecting all of us. So if you're enjoying it from random episodes, |
| 2:27.6 | highly recommend you listen to order. It works better that way. There are a lot of foundational |
| 2:31.9 | concepts that we rely on from Papp's episodes. So |
