| 1:24.3 | were born. How did you first get your start? |
| 1:39.4 | Well, I got sort of attracted to cycling as a teenager growing up during the bicycle boom days of the early 1970s. |
| 1:45.8 | And I really got interested in the European Grand Tours and the sport of road racing. |
| 1:54.9 | And, you know, that cast of, you know, cycling grates like Giamundi and Merricks and the likes. |
| 2:12.9 | And, you know, I started racing bikes and working in a local bike shop where I grew up in Elkins Park, Pennsylvania, a suburban Philadelphia community to be able to support the habit of buying bike class. |
