Hello everybody and welcome to the Single Tracks podcast.

Today, it's me, Greg, and I have Jeff and Aaron here with me, and this is going to be our

industry news podcast edition.

Over the past week or two, we've had a lot of news come down the pipeline that relates to retail and

how that happens in the bike industry and new products and competition.

So we're just going to dive right in and discuss it.

Before we get going, I'd like to say we've covered a lot of these on singletracks.com.

But in addition to our coverage, a big nod towards bicycle retailer.com,

which is sort of the pinnacle of news reporting in the bike industry and on the industry side,

I think.

A lot of the original breaking news happened there, and so we're sort of discussing a little bit of

what they talked about.

To get things started, Giant recently announced that they are launching an online

sales program that they've built as direct to consumer, but it's rather similar to Treks

model.

So if you buy a component or something like that, it's shipped directly to your door, but

if you're buying a bike,
