uh, 2024, and there was an assassination attempt on the life of Donald Trump just earlier today.

So what I'm going to be doing is just giving you first impressions here.

And then I will take this piece of video when it's over, edit it down into something more cogent,

and then post that for those people who are coming in late.

Okay, so let me just deal with first impressions and the single most important point I want to make.

Actually, let me make the single most important point I want to make first.

At moments like this, this is moments that transcends politics.

We stop worrying about political position, and I start worrying about the condition of the country,

and the moment that we're in right now is the moment we need to be thinking about the country,

not about politics.

So let me just get some of the good news out of the way as what's happened.

And for those of you not in the mood to acknowledge this, this message is specifically for you.

President Biden has made some remarks after being briefed on the assassination attempt on Donald Trump.

He said in his initial remarks, his very first

remarks, that he was praying, that he was glad that Donald Trump was safe and not seriously injured,

and that he was praying for him and his family. And then he later made a live appearance where he

basically said this kind of thing is unacceptable in American politics. He unequivocally condemned

the attack and said that everyone in the country

must do so also that this was not the kind of country we want to live in. And I thought he rather
