Our special guest this week is Nicholas Grossman. He is a professor of political science at the

University of Illinois and a senior editor at Arc Digital. Welcome, one and all. We have a lot to get to this week and we will be touching on a lot of different topics. We have a lightning round at the end, but for now I'd like to begin with the news that the Justice Department is indeed

investigating Donald Trump that is the grand jury has heard testimony and people who've testified before the

grand jury have been asked about Trump's role.

Further, people who were involved in the fake elector scheme

have received subpoenas to appear before the grand jury.

We have also been informed that the DOJ has seized the phones of John Eastman, Jeffrey Clark.

And so it feels as if things are moving,

and this is what the Attorney General Merck-Arland said this week on this topic.

Quote, the Justice Department has from the beginning been moving urgently to learn everything

we can about this period and to bring to

justice everybody who was criminally responsible for interfering with the

peaceful transfer of power from one administration to another, which is the fundamental element of our democracy."
