Indiana facing some income challenges, especially in downtown Indianapolis.

So it goes hand in hand, population, economy, and downtown Indianapolis, the goal is to grow by 20,000 residents over the next decade.

But the median household income in Indiana increased only 14% from 1970 to 2023.

That has been adjusted for inflation, by the way, which is well below the national average.

We now rank fourth lowest in the country for income.

For income growth.

Congratulations.

The medium income rank, it dropped.

It used to be, we used to be at 16th place in 1970.

We're at 37 today.

And it's, look, 16th is nothing to brag about.

But we can't even keep that.

And now we are what we're at.
