| 0:15.0 | After Joshua had called on the Israelites to choose this day whom they would serve. He challenged them to, quote, |
| 0:21.6 | put away the strange gods which are among you and incline your heart unto the Lord God of Israel. |
| 0:27.2 | I love that phrase, incline your heart. Joshua knew the weakness of the Israelites. He knew that this |
| 0:33.4 | change wouldn't be simple for the people. And so he invited them to start by simply inclining |
| 0:38.3 | or leaning closer to God. That one small change would make a world of difference for the Israelites. |
| 0:44.5 | And small changes can make all the difference for us, too. Have we stopped praying before bed? |
| 0:49.7 | Then we could make a goal to pray for just 30 seconds every night. Is scripture study the last thing |
| 0:55.2 | we want to do? Then we could plan to read one scripture verse daily and ponder on it. These small |
| 1:01.2 | goals when combined can add up to huge changes in what we do and who we are. So today, consider |
