Let's go In the Trenches with John Jansen. The former Wolverines captain in Michigan Sports Hall of Famer

will take you inside the locker room with players and coaches.

It was like hitting the lottery to work those last eight years with Dan.

And often in this business you don't get to go out on your own term.

And to work those last years with eight, go out on our own terms, both Dan and I.

That's rarefied air.

And both of us are grateful for that opportunity.

Well, as promised, I am joined by one of the most recognizableverines, the world over,

and that is the voice of Michigan football, Jim Brandstetter.

Jim, thanks for joining me, and how is early retirement treating you?

Well, so far I don't even even know because I've only been a retired

a month and a half, and I'm really kind of not sure what it's going to be like. I think it'll

hit me, John, next July, maybe even in April when spring practice starts, and I don't need to

go over to see, you know, what Michigan's doing defensively with a new defensive coordinator and what the offense is going to look like and how the quarterbacks are

competing and, you know, all that stuff that you love to do that kind of gets you prepared
