to catch up on our look at the 2017 murders at the Nadi-efficient Chicken in the South

Shore neighborhood of Chicago.

This will be our fifth and final episode in the shadow of Nadi-e.

As a recap, on the night before the killings of the restaurant, a man named Jerry Jacobs

was gunned down in the South Shore.

The next afternoon, a gunman killed four young men at the Nadi-e restaurant.

Hours later, someone murdered a couple in their car in an area not far from the earlier

murders.

The police quickly arrested Jerry Jacobs' 19-year-old son, Maurice Harris, claiming that he had

killed the four men at the restaurant in retaliation for the death of his father.

And then, they went to the media, outlining their seemingly strong case against Maurice

for the murders.

Over night, it seemed as if all of Chicago was convinced of his guilt.

His family and friends remained in his corner, though.

So did Ian Barney, the attorney here represented Maurice in his civil suit against the Chicago

Police Department.

The justice system moved slowly.

Over three years passed, Maurice remained incarcerated.

The city moved on.

Most people forgot about him.
