Y'all, I'm so sick of sitting in this house.

I haven't left my neighborhood in more than 11 days, and I don't know when I'll leave

again.

Theoretically, we have everything that we need.

The politicians keep saying that this week is a very crucial week.

I feel like they say that about every week.

Technically, Maryland is on lockdown until the end of April, but Virginia, our kind of

neighbor, DMV, is officially locked down until June 10.

So that doesn't really bode well for us.

The mayor of DC just said earlier today that they are expecting a surge in June or July.

So I'm like, is this area going to be locked down until then?

The upside is LA seems to be doing a really great job at flattening the curves.

Our mayor just, I don't know if mandate is the right word.

There's no fine for not doing so, but has strongly suggested that if you are going to

leave the house, then you should have your face covered, which makes sense, but also presents

a unique problem for black folks, especially black men.

One of the suggestions was, if you don't have a match, just wear a bandana, and I was

like so black men who are already racially profiled as criminals are supposed to walk

around with bandanas on, which until this pandemic was an outfit, stereotypical of bank
