Summary
John 16:29-33 - His disciples said, “Ah, now you are speaking plainly and not using figurative speech! 30 Now we know that you know all things and do not need anyone to question you; this is why we believe that you came from God.” 31 Jesus answered them, “Do you now believe? 32 Behold, the hour is coming, indeed it has come, when you will be scattered, each to his own home, and will leave me alone. Yet I am not alone, for the Father is with me. 33 I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”

| 0:46.0 | So let's stop for a moment and consider. |
| 0:49.0 | Where does your sense of peace come from? |
| 0:54.0 | Jesus was pinpointing that issue in the lives of his disciples as he was teaching them before he went to the cross. |
| 1:03.0 | And he's just told them that hours coming when he's going to be leaving and they will have great anguish. |
| 1:08.0 | And they will find their hope and their solace in the fact that the Father loves them. |
| 1:15.0 | And his disciples respond to that in verse 29 of John chapter 16. |
| 1:21.0 | And his disciples said, Ah, now you're speaking plainly, not using figurative speech. |
