With us today, we have a special guest who's been on our program before,

and that is Philip Patrick, who's the economist for Birch Gold.

So we work with Birch Gold, and he comes on, and he gives us all the answers.

He makes all these predictions. Of course, he's a humble person,

and he doesn't brag about it. He's a good economist, but in Austrian economics, we realize

that nobody really knows the future about the only future we can predict, Philip, is what

the politicians might do.

And so far, my safest prediction is, I believe they're going to continue to spend money.

So, so, Phil, welcome to our program today.

We want to talk about Doge,

and it's in the news. They even, you know, replay some of my comments. People think, oh,

you're going to be on the committee. I doubt that. I don't talk with them directly, but they seem

to friendly, you know, promote my suggestions of how to cut the budget.

So far, they haven't accepted my whole program because it's a little more complicated.

But in light of all that, you know, many of us who might not agree with everything that's going on are cautiously

optimistic that they're doing some good. They're at least, you know, to me, Philip, I think

the thing that sort of amused me and shocked me, even though I knew it would happen, and that

was the size and the effort going on by USAID.
