Not too long ago, I found out that my phone number and home address were being used by

pretended to be me, and try and scam money out of unsuspecting people on social media.

And they had readily found and bought that information from public sites that use data

brokers to collect private information from apps and websites that I had used.

Data leaks are becoming more and more common, meaning that your

information and sensitive data is up for grabs. And why is that a problem? Well, it means that

your confidential information, such as financial information or contact details or your home address

or social security number, can fall into the hands of data brokers.

Data brokers can aggregate your personal information, like they did with mine, and sell it

to companies and even cybercriminals to be used against you.

Now the good news is that you have the right to protect your privacy by requesting

data brokers to delete what information they have about you. However, the bad

news is that would take you years to do it manually, and no one has the time for that. The solution?
