1:22.8	Today, part five, and the conclusion of immunity for murder, the Veronica Tap story,
1:28.4	with David M. Beers. Today, we're going to discuss the aftermath,
1:32.8	the defense theory of a ruthless killer, Chuck E. Pratt, and an imaginary friend.
1:39.1	David, is there anything else you would like to add at this point regarding the aftermath of the trial?
1:45.5	You're finding out about Veronica Tap trying to build a new life?
1:51.4	It took more than a year to get her two youngest kids back.
1:56.1	And she struggled with issues in family court, both in Binghamton, and up in upstate New York,
2:02.8	where she was living. And her oldest daughter, Havine, was kind of a different story.
2:10.4	She had been placed in a pre-adaptive home, and was on the verge of being adopted.
2:15.8	She told me, she could have lost her forever.
2:18.9	But it was kind of in the nick of time, and she did, and it took another two years.
2:24.0	But she finally got Havine back in February of 2020.
2:30.4	So just about six months before I interviewed Veronica for the book.
