Let's begin in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Let's call to mind all those we promise to pray for.

Today is the feast of the Immacic Society. pray for the

the mass today, which comes from Luke chapter one, the enunciation,

the archangel Gabriel greets Mary by a new name.

He does not say, Hail Mary, but rather hail full of grace. The name the angel gives Mary is full of grace.

In fact, St. John Paul II writes, the expression full of grace serves almost

as a name. It is Mary's name in the eyes of God. Now this phrase full of grace is the

English translation of the Greek word Kekkara tominae and Kekkara tominae literally means

God completely and perfectly filled Mary with the Holy Spirit and with His Grace from the first moment of

her existence from her conception. Now since the fall and original sin, every person comes into existence

without the life of God, without the life of grace in their soul. Mary, however, is different. At her conception, God

flooded her soul with the Holy Spirit. That is why she is the Immaculate Conception.

In 1854, Pope Pius 9 proclaimed the doctrine of the Immaculate

of Mary.

Four years later, on March 25, 1858, Mary came herself and confirmed

this title. Mary appeared at Lords, but the young visionary,

Bernadette did not know who the woman of the apparition was.

Now, Bernadette most certainly had no prior knowledge of papal proclamations.
