And we wanted to do something a little different today in terms of talking about the way forward for American policing.

Because there's a huge debate in the community about are we reforming or are we completely starting over?

And I hear the Minneapolis City Council loud and clear when they say we have tried reform.

And the idea that police officers who we can see rioting across the nation and continuing to treat us like shit across the nation,

giving them some new rules and saying,

please follow these when you are the only authority, there's no transparency,

there's really not much responsibility that you have to take for your actions.

You lie all the time.

And we're just supposed to trust that you're just going to do what you're supposed to do.

That doesn't make any sense.

So we want to talk about, but people keep saying, well, what will I do to prevent chaos and the purge from happening if there's not the police to save me?

And we already have what we as black and brown people feel is basically the purge with the police and the way they treat us.

So we want to try to imagine something new.

And I have some ideas.
