1:16.9	I just want to say at the very start of this podcast, this podcast is dedicated to Philip Westrin, an electronic musician who died a few days ago on February 9th, 2019.
1:24.9	He was only 47 years old.
1:27.3	Phil Westron was one of Kevin Keyes, Kevin Key of Skinny Puppies' primary collaborators.
1:33.8	After Skinny Puppie sort of dissolved the first time after the process, the skinny puppy lost one of their later members, Dwayne Goetel, to a heroin overdose before that album came out.
1:49.2	And Phil Western was sort of in that same orbit. He knew Dwayne Goetel. He became one of Kevin Key's
1:56.6	collaborators at that point forward and became like his main musical collaborator in the band
2:01.7	sort of replacing Dwayne Gotel when I say the band I mean he only worked on I think the process a
2:08.3	little bit but he went on with Kevin Key to work in a skinny puppy offshoot side project called
2:15.0	Download which sort of started as like an industrial music supergroup.
2:19.9	It had Genesis Peorch from Psychic TV in it. It had a guy from Soviet France in it.
2:25.5	But after that, first download album, it sort of just turned into Phil Western and Kevin Key.
2:32.7	They were the only two guys making the music in the band. And you can hear Phil's
2:38.0	trademark production all over downloads music. And a lot of people, you know, feel that download is
2:45.3	mostly Kevin Key because his name is just so much more famous and well-known, you know, that they kind of
2:53.4	overlooked Phil's contributions and even just his contributions to like electronic music in general.
