podcast I'm Keza McDonald and Luke is here with me hello and we've been talking to

Andrew Skeet who is the man behind the greatest video game music too which is a

basically a compilation album of really cool video game music

that's out very soon.

So we're going to be premiering a track from the album just after the

podcast and we check to Andrew and also we're giving away a copy of the album signed by Andrew

on our Twitter and Facebook so keep an eye on that. Oh one last thing I did have a terrible

cold while we were recording this episode so excuse my coffee and spluttering.

So we're here with Andrew Skeet, who is the conductor and arranger of the new album Greatest

Video Game Music 2, which is coming out I think November 6th.

So Andrew has basically been spending a lot of time with the London Philharmonic

orchestra creating these renditions of classic video game tracks in an orchestra. Is that right? Is that

about right Andrew? That is about right. How long you've been working on it?

It took about four months in all the long. I mean it's now a couple of months since we finished

it because there's obviously a bit of time between

finishing it and it being available but some so it's already receding into distant memory.

I had to look up the list of tracks of things and I think as he asked me about the one I better remind myself what's even on it.

But it was four months.

So from about April I started researching it and I have a couple of young 20 year old composers who actually do play lots of video games and they bring me hundreds of suggestions and I kind of

par through them and you know listening. So it was yeah that was the beginning of just

a nice bit just listening to loads of music so the first the first greatest video game
