You know, at Voodoo Church, we celebrate all women on this holiday.

Doesn't matter if you've given birth to a child, if you have a mother's heart, we honor you today.

We celebrate you today. We thank God for your life and the impact and influence that it's making in those around you.

And if you have your Bible, say you can grab them, you can grab your notebook.

Everybody in this auditorium, you can turn your right or left. Tell somebody, I'm glad I'm sitting next to you.

Grab your pencil and your notebook. We're going to turn together to God's word.

Mark chapter 7 verse 24. Are you surprised?

We have been in the book of Mark for a minute now. We're taking six months as a community to look closely at the book of Mark and the life of Jesus.

What he did, what he said. And I believe today that you're going to be encouraged.

This is the story. If you look in your Bible, the header says, Jesus honors a Siro Phoenician woman's faith.

And this is what it reads says, Jesus left that place and went to the vicinity of Tyre.

He entered a house and did not want anyone to know it. Yet he could not keep his presence secret.

How many of you know if Jesus is there, the word is going to get out.

In fact, as soon as she heard about him, a woman whose little daughter was possessed by an impure spirit came and fell at his feet.

The woman was a Greek, born in Syrian Phoenicia. She begged Jesus to drive the demon out of her daughter.

First let the children eat all they want. Jesus told her. First not right to take the children's bread and toss it to the dogs.

Lord, she replied, even the dogs under your table eat the children's crumbs. Then he told her, for sexual apply, you may go.
