If you've listened to our show any length of time, you know that I have an almost hero

worship level of respect for the two greatest justices of my lifetime.

And that is the late great Antonin Scalia and the current intellectual leader of the court

and that is Clarence Thomas.

And you've heard me say a few dozen times or more that perhaps one of the three greatest

evenings of my life was getting to smoke cigars in between Clarence Thomas and Antonin Scalia.

While I was a law student at the University of Texas but living at the University Club

in Washington, D.C. as part of the cigar dinner evening and it's one of those experiences

you'll never forget.

It also means that you get to see Clarence Thomas away from how the media portrays him.

But despite how the media portrays him as this cruel justice, this mean man who has betrayed

his race, the man who has this idea of life the way it's not.

Of course, KBJ had some pretty nasty things to say last week with which Clarence Thomas

took umbrage.

Clarence Thomas is a man whose rulings, whose life, whose ministry, whose mission is to

improve the lot of Americans through the application of our constitution in the most

fair and just way.

And anyone who disagrees with him makes him out to be a monster, but he's not.

If you're not a person who enjoys reading Supreme Court rulings, if you're not a person

who enjoys really digging into the cases and the Dicta and the majority opinion and the
