All right, Mo, Katie, both trying to learn a new language.

You guys been talking about this on your podcast in the moment.

Yes, sir.

So I think Katie and I need some help, maybe some motivation.

I don't know if motivation by humiliation or what, but we have put ourselves

in a competition to challenge each other because both of us have a common goal of learning

another language.

So Katie can give you the backstory on why she wants to learn the language that she chose, but for me, I have wanted to learn Spanish since I was in high school. I took four years of Spanish and you would have no idea that I did so, because I don't remember much of anything from it

and I have a ton of best friends that are Latin my uncle is Puerto Rican and tells me

how much I don't know Spanish all the time and so in most recent times my lady's mom only speaks Spanish.

She doesn't speak any English at all. So we're able to communicate, we find ways to

do it, but I just always felt like if I could really like this would be the perfect time for me to truly take learning Spanish seriously

So that I can communicate with her fully and I'm like what better motivation than that? So I started these YouTube lessons and I got up to about lesson nine I believe and I was cooking. I was like really rolling.

We even had a day where her and I would only speak Spanish like I would have to figure it out.

She wouldn't speak to me in English at all.

And so for about a month I found myself getting like conversational.

I wouldn't say fluid but I'd say conversational. Like I can genuinely have a

conversation at a beginner

advance a level and know what's going on.

And then I just fell off.

I fell off.
