Dan Goldman pulled out a victory in a crowded field

But if you're curious about the overall political environment in the country New York's special elections

We're really the focus of the night

Democrats overperformed in two special elections pulling out a win in the 19th district

Which is four points more Republican than the nation according to 538's partisan lean

They also overperformed in New York's 23rd where the Republican still won

There are of course also primaries in Florida and Oklahoma

Former Republican governor of Florida Charlie Christ will now face off against current Republican governor Ron DeSantis
