Dr. Berg talks about if you need thyroid hormones if you have no thyroid gland. The answer is yes, but try to find a natural thyroid hormone because it makes multiple hormones. The T4 and T3 hormones are only made by the thyroid but covered by the liver so it's not just a matter of taking thyroid hormones, its a matter of them being effective, so if your liver or gallbladder is a problem, then you may have thyroid hormones, but they are not becoming activated.

0:40.0	she had it removed, do I have to take the thyroid hormone? Can I just take iodine? Okay. Good question. Yes, you're going to have to take thyroid hormones. Why? Because there's no other cell in the body that can make thyroid hormones. But what I would do is I would recommend getting with your doctor
0:54.0	and making sure that you monitor it
0:56.0	so it's at a perfect level.
0:58.0	Maybe you want to look into getting more of a natural complex like armor thyroid which is a kind of a natural versus the
1:07.6	synthetic scintroid. Do research on that because the thyroid does produce several different hormones and you want to get the whole package.
