I'm loving this series because it's so personal and powerful for me and I believe so critical

for our house.

Talking about belief and if you missed last week, which a lot of you probably maybe weren't

here for last week, let me just give you this idea, we're talking about the difference

between living a life fueled by fear or living a life rooted in faith.

And I think when we say that being fueled by fear, it sort of, it resonates, it strikes

a chord in us, right?

Because we can mentally get our heads around what that's like to have fear, just sort

of come rushing in, underneath the door through the window, getting into the fabric of

our lives and eventually we're just completely freaked out about whatever it is that we're

fearful about.

And God is giving us an option, He's giving us a choice, He's giving us Himself.

And He's saying, put your roots down into me into who I am, what I've done in the past,

you can count on me to do in the present and in the future and build up, root your life

in faith.

I said last week, I don't want you to miss this if you weren't here, that I have a particular

point of view coming into this, all of us do.

But mine was growing up in a family with a world class warrior for a dad and a fairly decent

overreactor for a mom.

So I reacted by their world class worrying and overreacting, I decided to react to that

by stuffing worry and underreacting.

So I tried all my life to act like I wasn't worried because I didn't want to be my dad
