Welcome to the week eight IDP Blitz Sigma Blimp here for football guy joined by Matt Schauf from draft sharks always giving you everything you need to know to keep up and stay on top of your IDP league.

Let's start with injuries and Matt we have sometimes muddled linebacker situations or muddled situations of playing time injuries as unfortunate as they are can clarify them or at least give us some direction.

Kansas City's defense I like having players and defenses that are often playing with like that's when the big plays come how should we be looking at Kansas City's linebackers without Nick Bolton in a way that might help our teams.

Yes, so we lose Nick Bolton again to a dislocated risk this time he's out until probably at least December and you know that like a week 16 is a maybe return date so you're dropping him in most places but fortunately we don't have to guess at what the replacement plan is because we already saw three games without Nick Bolton this season because of an ankle sprain and Drew Tranquil stepped right in played full time it was 82% playing time the first game because they yanked everybody while blowing out the barriers he played every snap each of the next two games

gave us 889 tackles not quite what Bolton will give us on a regular basis but usable numbers and Drew Tranquil also brings upside as a past Russia he in the past two games since Bolton returned gave us a sack each time Tranquil has a cubic hit and four of his past five games and the one game in that five game stretch where he didn't was against Minnesota where he had a season high 13 past rushes so they clearly want to get him involved.

He's not normally quite that involved as a past Russia but there's upside in that category to help out the solid tackle production that will give us.

In case Matt of real life mimicking IDP fantasy football it feels like the teams that picked up some of these experienced linebackers cheap in free agency are really benefiting from that decision and you can benefit from that decision in IDP fantasy football.

From Matt Milano's injury though this is one that I suppose Matt we can really peel this into questions one is is there any chance that the bills linebacker situation is going to settle so that there is one player we can count on and does it matter if it is one player is this a juicy enough spot to matter in IDP weeks.

I mean Terrell Bernard has become a guy that we can start every week that was happening before Milano went down and then after Milano went down it was like all right let's see what happens here Tyrell Dodson seemed like an obvious candidate after he and Terrell Bernard competed for the job next to Milano entering the season they also brought back AJ Klein who has been with Sean McDermott almost as much as his wife has ever since McDermott was the coordinator in Carolina.

So then I was waiting to see the first game after Milano went down we got rookie Dorian Williams who was a third round pick played 84% of the snaps in that game I was like all right cool Dorian Williams somebody I was interested in coming into the season if he is the guy then that will be interesting gave us a usable number of tackles against the Giants as well then he played 35% of the snaps against the Patriots so I guess it's not Dorian Williams and then Tyrell Dodson played 52% in that game so that makes neither of those guys usable for us.

Right now it's Terrell Bernard and then we'll see what happens in the games going forward it certainly doesn't help that those two games gave us kind of a wacky effort against the Giants and then a disappointing one against the Patriots so I would guess that Buffalo is trying to figure things out right now.

Yeah trying to figure things out because whoever they put all on the field they want to commit themselves to other guys the answer and then they switch back which is not good for us let's stick with this theme of muddled linebacker groups.

Maybe clarifying themselves maybe not in Cleveland.

Jera Maya Ousu Corn Moira not exactly living up to some of the great hopes we had for him but Anthony Walker who's still having value long after many thought it would evaporate who's going to be the one if there is one to have on your team.

So if we want clarity at linebacker then Cleveland is not the place that we want to visit we did get however like you said Anthony Walker jumping ahead of Jera Maya Ousu Corn Moira in playing time in week seven played 100% of the snaps.

A week after leaving a game with a concussion so I figured we were going to miss Anthony Walker for a game and we did quite the opposite that marked a big jump from his previous high this season of 77% playing time in week three.

It's the first time Walker has gone above 84% playing time since November of 2021 so this kind of came out of nowhere Jera Maya Ousu Corn Moira dropped to 49% after playing 79% in each of the previous two games.

Those were his two high for the season so I don't know whether it's match up or whether something happened to change things in game or heading into the game but as usual with the Cleveland linebackers we don't know yet.

I mean I guess we'll see this week if it looks the same as it didn't week seven Anthony Walker is the highest ranked browns linebacker in my rankings but there's nobody in a range that says go get him and play him this week.

I actually started in my my waiver column at the beginning of the week I started writing up Anthony Walker and then I was like wait a second I'm not sure that I want people to pick him up yet I think I'm going to rank him like an LB3 that means you pick him up in your spot go ahead and do it but not ready to crawl out on that limb and wave a flag.

We were looking for Jack Campbell in week seven to finally step up his playing time and it happened happened John Norton actually on the IDB but it's last week identified him as someone you might want to play with six teams on by because of Baltimore offense how they were going to keep.

Campbell on the field and it happened and then everything else went horribly that usually when a linebacker drafted top 20 drafted have the green dot et cetera et cetera we're reaping some gains in week seven we're not reaping gains we're just weeping if we have got Campbell for sure and I mean if you look at it it looks like John's right because he played 90% in that game which is well above what he had before then.
