Dennis Doe, Christmas Doe, also known as Ware County

Jane Doe, and Julie Doe. At that time, all three victims had been unidentified for decades.

We've given you longer updates on Dennis Doe and Christmas Doe in previous episodes. But as a reminder,

the child known as Dennis Doe was found in DeKalb County, Georgia in

1999, and as we reported in 2022, he was identified as 6-year-old William Deshawn Hamilton,

after a former neighbor recognized forensic art developed in his case. His mother, Teresa Ann Black,

was arrested on multiple charges, including felony murder.

There has been an update regarding her court case. Per DeKalb County press release,

Black was acquitted on charges of felony murder, cruelty to children, and aggravated assault.

Black was, however, found, quote, guilty of concealing the death of another in

connection with the death of her six-year-old son, William Deshawn Hamilton. She was sentenced to, quote,

10 years in prison, the maximum allowed under Georgia law for that count. Black told investigators

that William had been sick for days before he passed away.

Christmas Jane Doe was discovered in a rural area of Ware County, Georgia, in December of 1988.

Though long thought to be a toddler, she was identified in 2023 as five-year-old Kenyatta Kiki Odom.

Kenyatta was identified via FIGI-G-G-Ferensive genetic genealogy.
