Summary

Day 2 of Lori Vallow Daybell’s murder trial proved to be informative and dramatic when Lori, who was visibly upset, asked and was denied to be excused from the trial before evidence photos were shown to the jury. The photos were introduced by Rexburg police detective Ray Hermosillo, whose direct testimony took up the bulk of Day 2. The 22-year police veteran told the court he was initially contacted by Kay Woodcock to do a welfare check on JJ in Nov 2019. Hermosillo’s detailed testimony walks through his entire investigation that eventually led police to Chad Daybell’s backyard, where the two children’s remains were found.

0:15.2	jury trial. States in its case in chief when we broke yesterday. I'll note

0:26.1	defendant also are in attendance. This proceedings being held here in this courtroom of course subject to a conduct order that prohibits the use of any electronic devices from recording or photographing any images or transmitting them from the courtroom.
