China, Russia and the coming cool war by Henry Sikoski, the Executive Director of the Non-Proliferation Policy Education

Center, published in the early part of this decade, now applying to the facts on the

ground right now, mid-decade, about missile exchanges between the

powers and their surrogates.

Henry, a very good evening to you.

I go immediately to the chapter, what missile-driven

competition with China will look like. He wrote this four years ago and we're looking now at phases. The phase one we've completed I believe by

mid-decade you postulate that we'll have missiles, non-nuclear warhead missiles, short range and medium range, that can destroy communication

nodes, can be terror weapons.

I point to the exchange of missiles between Iran and Israel.

Iran peppered all of the sky over the Arabian Peninsula and Jordan and hardly hit anything in Israel because of the defenses.

At the same time, Israel's response was one or two weapons.

I never did have an accurate count that Iran never saw coming and destroyed the best air

defenses that Russia that China has that Iran has the Russia S300 system making it very clear that we can kill anyone any time.
