Greg, Monday night, Carolina, blows out Syracuse until they didn't.

And we talked a lot going into the game and have all season about the metrics and we talked most

recently on Monday about that very topic and Carolina handled business for 30 minutes and then

the last 10 minutes gave it all the way how big a deal is that for this team? I think it tells us a lot.

And I know people don't like to talk so much about the metrics,

but I think it's a good opportunity to kind of explain what we're talking about.

And the conversation we had the other day, Tommy,

is that because North Carolina, it was two-thirds of the way through the regular season,

we kind of had a baseline for how the team was expected to perform. And that's valuable,

because with only 10 games being left prior to the Syracuse game, we could kind of project

out and say, well, if they maintain this level of play, this is what the metrics suggest they will finish that.

This is what the metrics suggest that they need to do in order to get a five seed or a four seed or a six seed.

So it's valuable information.

And one thing that people made out grasp, because it's valuable information. And one thing that people may not grasp, and because it's somewhat confusing, but,

you know, Ken Palmeroy, who does Ken Palm, has said numerous times that wins and losses

do not matter in his system.

And the same goes for Bart Torvik.
